Outstanding Experience with Team Hensley｜Compass Realtors We cannot say enough outstanding things about Annemarie Hensley and her team at Compass Realtors in Midlothian, VA. As former landlords, my wife and I have sold many homes in the Richmond area, and we can confidently say that Team Hensley is the best real estate team that we have ever worked with. Our property in Midlothian had been abandoned by our former tenant, and the home was in dire need of repair! We needed help and decided to call Compass because they had recently sold the house across the street. This was our introduction to Annemarie. She was confident, knowledgeable, and suggested exactly what the home needed. She thoughtfully laid out a plan and walked us step-by-step through the details needed to prepare our home for the market. It was a big job! • Cleanout & Donations: Annemarie’s team coordinated the disposal of left-behind furniture, clothing and toys. Most were given away or taken to Goodwill and ReStore so that they could benefit others. • Deep Cleaning & Maintenance: The entire house received a thorough deep cleaning—including all windows, bathrooms and garage. Annemarie’s team also coordinated major crawlspace work, including complete insulation replacement, mold remediation, and termite inspections. • Full Renovations & Upgrades: A Compass affiliated contractor (Azab Construction) painted all of the walls and trim (including the garage), upgraded the kitchen cabinets and all 6 bathrooms, and installed new carpet in the upstairs rooms. Her team sanded and refinished the hardwood floors, repaired and painted the deck, and applied a top-notch epoxy coating to the garage floor. Special recognition goes to Daniel with Azab Construction who worked constantly and tirelessly to restore the home to a like-new condition. His painting efforts, fixture installation, and overall skills were superb. • Staging: Annemarie’s brilliant decorator, Lee-Anne, staged the home and made it look absolutely gorgeous. She had incredible insight into the color palettes, fixtures and styles currently trending in our local market. She made her recommendations and choices thoughtfully and we placed our complete confidence in her opinions. The results speak for themselves: • Mid-July Signed the sales agreement with Compass • Thursday, August 27 The house officially on the market. • Sunday, August 30: Open house. • Monday, August 31: Received 3 offers – 2 were Full Price! • Tuesday, September 29: Successfully closed. Annemarie and her team helped us sell a house, and we are very happy with the result. We interviewed 3 different realtors, and she had done the best research with comparable architectural styles, and not just generic square footage. We were concerned we might have been bamboozled by the song and dance presentation, but in the end, we were so happy with their services, contractor contacts, and overall professionalism. We also ended up being very glad we went with the furniture staging option - it really helped sell the house, and the other realtors didn't offer this service at the same rate. Annemarie always checked in, unprompted, at all the right times. She was always available for our questions, always had the correct answers, and was available for any help needed. I would 100 percent use this team again.

Sheila Stanley at Compass was the best realtor we could hope for! We were moving south through several states and leaving our family home of over 30 years. She was an expert in the area and all things Virginia real estate. We gave her basics of what we thought we were looking for and she ran with it! My husband and I had to travel separately and in all instances she was flexible, available, and gave us so much confidence as we moved through the process.
